laugh through your tears

laugh through your tears
you are the deepest of waters
you are the most violent of fires

some get stuck in the guilt
some get stuck in the pain
but our womb is an ocean of ancient wisdom

when we love someone we must use our skin inside out
it's the only way there's no way for doubt
we must swim as far as the horizon and reach the point of complete exhaustion
and still sing while crying as we come back to the shore

everytime we dive inside
we emerge healed and purified
with sunrise in our eyes
and that means no air
when you're down there

when i died i travelled in time
i already lost all the ones i will ever love
when i died
i knew from that day on
everytime i said hello it would also mean goodbye
very intense,
but really it's actually just about living in the present tense...
having faith in coincidence
having respect for consequence...

so i am living as if i had died
that's why i will always look you in the eye
you can see through me and know that for me
there will never be enough goodbyes
so this prayer is my lullaby

change is possible
and my wounds were healed by your beauty
listening to you made fighting with the tides become dancing with the changes
i can't even stare too long
or i'll get lost in this contemplation
even this poem is a bad translation
the songs write me
the melodies pull me like a puppet

and how can extremes be so close?
i just laugh through the tears

to touch people we must use our skin inside out
and that means no air
when you're down there

when i hear you
it's like i am also hearing the same voice which is inside of me
it's like giving birth
and slowly i come back and i remember
the peace of unity
i say peace instead of love
'cause love is still war

i'm in the dreamtime
and this is reality
